Assist 82, Structure Fire, Lewes-Georgetown Highway

Fire crews from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton, Slaughter Beach, Georgetown and Indian River responded to a Structure Fire on Lewes-Georgetown Highway near Joesph’s Road at approx. 4:45 am Monday morning. Arriving firefighters found a well involved house with no occupants inside. Crews battled the blaze for over 3 hours before controlling the flames. Lewes-Georgetown Highway was shutdown for the morning rush. No Injuries were reported with the Delaware State Fire Marshall investigating.
