Ice Rescue Training
Lake Gerar-Rehoboth

RBVFC members trained on Ice Rescue techniques on Monday night Jan. 11th at Lake Gerar on the northside of Rehoboth Beach. Recent cold weather has frozen the lakes in town affording the opportunity to utilize this training scenario. 20 members turned out and participated in an evolution involving two victims in the ice. DSFS provided instructors to assist with the training which had members don cold weather suits to get the "victims" to shore. All members did an excellent job completing the simulated incident, with the Lewes Fire Dept. providing the "victims". The Officers thank everyone who showed up and participated in this drill.
